Interact

Interact is a service and social club for high school students sponsored by a Rotary Club. We have 3 active clubs including Brockway Area High School; DuBois Area Catholic Schools and DuBois Area High School. Each club has a faculty advisor and have been amazing in the projects they have done. The goal each year for each club is to sponsor a Community and an International event. They also help our Rotary Club each year with our Radio Auction.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a week long leadership conference held each June at Westminster College. The conference is designed to develop leadership abilities and provide contact with established leaders in a variety of fields. The only constant word from our students when they come back from RYLA is that is was a "life changing" week ! Our club sponsors six students each year from nominations from all the area high schools. Each nominee must have finished their Junior year in high school and be entering their Senior year. Guidance counselors are faxed a letter in early March to have their nominations in by a certain date.

Rotary Outstanding Vocational Award

ROVA (Rotary Outstanding Vocational Award) is a 2 day event held each year to recognize vocational students with leadership qualities. Our club is sponsoring 2 students from Jeff Tech.

Scholarships

Our club awards eight $1000 scholarships each year to area Seniors. The applications are mailed to all High School Guidance Counselors in early April and the interviews are scheduled in mid April. Recipients are notified in writing and we try to attend academic awards programs to present the checks personally to the student.
